ARE YOU AN APPROVED VOLUNTEER FOR CPHS???

All CPHS parents or CPHS Booster Club members who volunteer in any capacity with our students must be on the Approved Volunteer list with Leander ISD. This includes (but is not limited to) chaperoning trips and/or athletic events, selling spirit wear or tickets on campus, serving meals to our student groups/teams on campus, running concession stands on campus, or working in an office/classroom.

To register as a volunteer go to http://www.leanderisd.org/default.aspx?name=comm.volunteer and complete the online application. It only takes about 2 minutes!

All volunteers, including booster clubs, who volunteer during the school day must sign in at the front office at CPHS and log your hours. To log your volunteer hours online go to http://cphs.my-pta.org/ and click on the Volunteer tab.

K-MAC Sports is the flagship broadcaster for Cedar Park baseball, football, and men's and women's basketball, but Timberwolf baseball was the first sport K-MAC covered at CPHS. K-MAC broadcast 47 games in 2008 and 2009, and covers every district game - home and away - and all playoff games. The action can be heard live worldwide, from play-by-play voice Brad Cone and color analyst Johnny Baeza. KMAC Sports

NCAA Registration Information

Register Your Juniors

Now is the time for college-bound student-athletes in your junior class to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center if they plan on participating in college athletics. Early registration promotes positive planning and involvement, bypasses the last-minute rush and helps college-bound student-athletes avoid issues that may delay their academic and amateur certifications. The registration process is easy and can be done by:

  1. Logging on to the Eligibility Centers new Web site at www.eligibilitycenter.org;
  2. Selecting the “Fall 2010 or After” icon;
  3. Selecting the “New Account” tab at the top of the screen; and
  4. Beginning the registration process.

Applying to College

Remind your college-bound student-athletes that they need to apply to the college or university they are interested in attending. Some student-athletes think that because they are being recruited or because they have registered with the Eligibility Center, they do not need to apply for admission. Continue to remind your college-bound student-athletes and their parents that athletics eligibility and admission to a college or university are two separate processes and that both need to be completed. We appreciate your efforts in passing this information along.

Have Questions? Call Us!

If you have any questions, the Eligibility Center has a toll-free line exclusively for high school administrators. The phone number is 877/622-2321.
